J K on Tour '06
On Thursday, August 17, Frodo and I rolled out of Oakland to begin our respective journeys. Here's a rough idea of where you might find us over the next few months...
August 17 - 22 : driving from Oakland, CA to Frodo's home for the next couple of years in Anderson, SC
August 24 - September 2 : Ecovillage workshop in upstate NY (pdf flyer description)
September 2 - 12 : Greenville and Anderson SC
September 12 - 24 : Huntington WV
September 26 - 30 : Camping in Glacier National Park, MT (join me here!)
October 2 - 27 : Permaculture Certification Program, Lost Valley Ecovillage and Education Center, near Eugene, OR
October 30 - Novemeber 25 : couch surfing and doing odd jobs in in Oakland; drinking beer and eating pizza at Lanesplitter

FINA World Masters
The Temescal Aquatic Masters fielded some relay teams and open water swimmers for the 2006 FINA Masters World Championships. I swam in the mens' 200 meter freestyle and 200 meter medley relays. Find more pics here and results here.
It turned out that Matt had miscalculated our seed times, and we ended up in heats alongside the French and German national teams. Ooops! We still smoked them. Technically, we "tore that pool a new drainhole..."
