This is so cool - a very vernacular interpretation of the Tao Te Ching by Lao-Tzu...available in pdf form here.
Author Ron Hogan's aim was to provide a common-sense version of the Tao without the high-minded-ancient-Chinese-sage pretension displayed in many translations.
As a teaser, here's the first stanza from verse 20:
Don't spend too much time
thinking about stupid shit.
Why should you care
if people agree or disagree with you?
Why should you care
if others find you attractive or not?
Why should you care
about things that worry others?
Call bullshit on all that.
Ha! I love it.
